We’re Hiring School-Based Therapists
Northern Light Counseling is expanding our school-based mental health services across multiple districts in NEPA, and we’re looking for passionate, dedicated therapists to join our team.
About the Role
As a school-based therapist with Northern Light Counseling, you’ll provide counseling directly within school settings, while also having the support and resources of our outpatient clinic team. Our model allows you to focus on clinical care, connection, and growth — not endless paperwork.
We have full-time and part-time opportunities available, with flexible scheduling to fit your needs.
What You’ll Do
- Provide outpatient counseling to students (K–12)
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and external providers for coordinated care
- Engage in case planning, consultation, and treatment team development
- Complete clinical documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes)
- Uphold professional and licensing standards in all your work
Who You Are
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, MFT, or related field
- Licensed in PA as an LAPC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LSW (supervision provided)
- Required PA clearances (criminal history, child abuse, FBI)
- Experience — or strong interest — in working with children and adolescents
Why Join Northern Light Counseling?
- Multiple district placements available — opportunity to work close to home
- Full-time and part-time schedules available, with room to grow
- Competitive split compensation with billing, scheduling, and insurance support covered
- Salary options available once caseload is established
- Clinical supervision, peer consultation, and a supportive team culture
- Growth opportunities in leadership and specialty development
