As the owner and founder of Northern Light Counseling, I've made it my mission to change the image of mental health services, and create an atmosphere of love, empathy, and understanding. We specialize in creating a family-friendly environment with data-driven treatment. Clients can anticipate an approachable and familiar face, an abundance of psychoeducation, and a counseling relationship that facilitates empowerment and progression towards reaching goals. Families won’t feel like a number and their voices will be heard and validated throughout treatment.
As a certified Child & Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP), trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I aim to create a safe space providing services to strengthen and empower the most vulnerable populations.
I can support families navigating any school-related concerns (academic, social, emotional, behavioral), as I am a certified School Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have experience as a school-based therapist, working with families and schools as partners. This provides continuity of care and allows for clients to make therapeutic progress and reach their goals faster.
Treatment is tailored to your family’s specific needs, therefore a wide variety of modalities may be utilized. Throughout therapy, your child will build self-esteem, emotional awareness and regulation skills that can be incorporated into their daily lives.

With over a decade of comprehensive experience in the social work field, I provide complete care for clients across their spectrum of needs. From school-related concerns to self-harm and suicidal ideation, I apply my wide-ranging experience to help clients and families navigate the road to wellness. I have extensive experience working in tandem with school districts, and other service providers, to meet the unique needs of each client and/or family. Two professional passions of mine are working with those involved with the foster care system and providing care in rural communities. I provide perspective to these unique circumstances both professionally and personally, as I am a foster parent myself and a strong advocate for this population.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost two decades of
experience working as a therapist with clients of all ages, primarily focused on children and adolescents, I have been able to assist clients in various capacities. I have worked with school districts in Wayne County, collaborating alongside families and schools to determine the most appropriate course of assistance for clients. Throughout my career I have worked with clients in residential treatment facilities, group homes, foster care, partial hospitalization, school based behavioral health, and case management. I am also familiar working in a hospital setting and with the geriatric community. I believe in a strengths-based approach with clients, and tailor treatment to a client’s
specific needs to help foster self-esteem and healthy coping strategies. I have a particular interest in foster care and adoption, as I not only have worked within this speciality, but I myself am a foster/adoptive parent and a strong supporter of this population.

Salt therapy activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System and allows the body to switch from “flight or fight” to “rest and digest”. The grounding effects of the cave also help balance the Central Nervous System and restore the body's ability to regulate itself in every way.
These amazing benefits are ideal to help remain calm and safe while processing through uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and/or behaviors with a therapist.
Counseling in the cave would be a great option if you're feeling anxious due to past clinical experiences, it's your first time working with a counselor, or you just need a little extra self-care!
Please give us a call at 570-280-6321 to book clinical counseling in our Himalayan Salt Cave.
